Movie Review : Flipped By Denisa Aprilina Sutopo

Flipped is a movie by by Rob Reiner take setting in era 1950. It is an adaptation of the novel “Flipped” by Wendelin Van Draanen. Genre this movie is romantic comedy drama. The casct in this film are Madeline Carroll, Callan Mcauliffe, Israel Broussard, Ashley Taylor, and John Mahoney.

When second grade Bryce Loski (Callan McAuliffe) and Julianna Baker (Madeline Carroll) first meet, Juli knows it's love but Bryce isn't so sure When they start the sixth grade, Bryce hopes that he can eschew from Juli so he asks the girl Juli hates the most, Shelly Stalls (Ashley Taylor), out on a date. This plan of Bryce's succes until his best friend, Garrett (Israel Broussard), takes an interest in Shelly and tells her the truth about plan of Bryce's. Juli finds Bryce and Shelly break up, she come back to admired Brcye. From Juli's point of view, when she and Bryce first meet, she feel falling in love with Bryce. When she held Bryce’s hand. One day Juli give Bryce eggs, but unknown by Juli, Bryce throw juli’s egg into rubbish because his family do not want eggs from Juli. Juli never knows if her eggs throw by Bryce. Juli always give Brcye eggs. Until Juli sees Bryce will throw eggs from Juli. Juli feels disappointed. How the relationship of July and Bryce next? What is July will forgive Bryce?

Although the genre this movie is romantic drama, this film gives us a pretty good mandate is “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. Not necessarily what we accuse it right. As an example Brcye's father's accuse July’s family slovenly because it never clear the yard, they do not clear the yard because Juli’s father busy to cares his brother.

Setting in this movie is nice. For example when Juli climb ara tree, audience presented a beautiful view. A spectacular landscape is sunset and a stretch of grassland.

Because the plot back and forth to make the audience a bit confused by the plot.

To sum up, although this movie have weakness, this film is very satisfactory.
